I99 incremental encoders have been specially developed for use under extreme conditions, like those found in heavy industry for example, with conveyor belts and bucket-wheel excavators in surface mining, in elevator construction or in wind power plants.

The terminal compartment for electrical connection is safely sealed in relation to the disk and electronics. This effectively prevents contamination or damage to the electronics during installation. The shafts are electrically insulated from the housing and electronics.
